Background

In the present age and world, it is easy to fall into a monotonic pattern. We get up in the morning, enter an institution of learning or a place of work then come back into our homes and the years go by with this cycle repeated each and every day. Such a routine has a personality of predictability and monotony that leaves one with minimal choices of growth, excitement and spiritual fulfillment. The Bible, however, gives enriching insight into how to avoid such routines and embrace meaningful, growth and spiritually-dynamic living.

This article addresses a lifestyle far removed from monotony, in which biblical principles direct one’s living toward meaning, faith and dynamism.

1. Recover the Freshness of God's Mercy Mornally.

In Lamentation 3:22-23, we read, "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness." It reminds us that every day offers a chance for renewal. Instead of a default mechanism of monotony, every day ought to push us toward embracing the awareness of new mercies bestowed by the Lord. Every day presents an opportunity for a novelty in a relationship with Him.
